Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay was born September 15, 1915 was raised in Ogden Utah. Born into the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay devoted her brilliant literary talents and remarkable researching skills in the creation of an outstanding psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945, entitled The Only Man is able to know My History. That title was taken from a funeral sermon delivered by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844, when he shocked those he addressed with the words: You don't know me I never told you about my heart. My life story isn't known to anybody. I don't know. Fawn, 29 years old was a writer. Fawn is taking over the role of writer from that point on. They do not have a lack of documents however they contradict each other. The process of assembling these documents, sifting through first-hand and third-hand sources, and integrating the Mormons' stories to those of those of non-Mormons into a true history - is challenging. is exciting and enlightening.
